There's a difference between a mortgage professional who places the occasional reverse mortgage and one who specialises in it. The differences between the four Canadian lenders — in renewal rate structure, draw flexibility, property acceptance, and long-term cost — matter. Most borrowers never see them.

Gregory has spent decades helping homeowners across BC and Alberta build retirement plans that actually hold up under pressure. As a Chartered Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Smart Equity Coach (CSEC), he brings a planning lens most mortgage brokers don't have — which means the reverse mortgage conversation always happens inside the bigger picture, not instead of it.
He holds a Mortgage Broker licence through Home N Work Mortgages and works exclusively with BC and Alberta homeowners 55+. He is a co-author of The Canada Reverse Mortgage Guide® and co-creator of the Protected HELOC Approach® — built because most home equity tools on the market were designed for lenders, not borrowers.
Every consultation includes a full written pre-qualification report comparing all Canadian reverse mortgage lenders side by side — costs, rates, terms, and an equity projection. You see the full picture before you decide anything.

In Canada, mortgage brokers are paid by the lender — not by the borrower. That's the standard structure, and it means you never pay a broker fee to arrange a reverse mortgage. All four Canadian reverse mortgage lenders work on this basis.
What it doesn't automatically guarantee is that the broker has access to all lenders, or the knowledge to compare them genuinely. Many mortgage professionals place the occasional reverse mortgage file. Greg does this exclusively, for borrowers in British Columbia and Alberta.
The information Greg provides is produced independently. No lender pays for placement, editorial coverage, or favourable treatment. If a reverse mortgage is not the right answer for your situation, Greg will say so — and has.
Co-authored with Matthew Hines and available on Amazon Canada, the guide explains the product the same way Greg explains it to clients — no jargon, no sales pitch, just the straight goods on how reverse mortgages work, who they're right for, and what to watch out for.
